verrocchio Innovation performance radar

  • Would you like to know the current status of your organization's / team's innovation ability, in order to derive reliably the expedient development measures?
  • Would you like to reflect on the innovation ability with your team for more successful conclusions and intrinsic renewal motivation?
  • Would you like to find out within a short period how to enhance innovation ability expediently?
  • Would you like to compare your innovative strong and weak points with those of your competitors, in order to fortify your innovation strategy?
  • Would you like to pursue the innovation ability visually and clearly, in order to know that you are on the right path?
  • Would you like to measure your innovation service providers' innovation measures and their target attainment degree quickly and visually?
  • Would you like to talk concisely to your management about innovation ability?
  • Would you like to safeguard that your "knowledge", your "tools", your "resources" and your "experiences" correlate with each other effectively?

If you would like to clarify all of this quickly and clearly, the "Innovation performance radar" (IPR) is the tool which will answer those questions reliably, visualized and clearly.

To make it short: The Innovation performance radar is for the innovation professional what the fitness tracker and lactate testing is for professional athletes. It has been developed in the verrocchio institute by Benno van Aerssen, Christian Buchholz and Prof. Nicolas Burkhardt. With the IPR, you will analyze efficiently, visually and expediently the current innovation and renewal ability of teams, departments, business units and entire organizations.

Moreover, the IPR offers the services to accompany an organization on the way to perpetual transformation ability and to obtain constantly clarity as to the current development status. This tool will only be distributed by experts, who are accredited by verrocchio institute.

The Innovation performance radar offers:

  • 10 years of experience resulting from several hundred innovation and innovation culture projects
  • a solid and helpful measuring structure covering 18 sub-fields
  • a simple and clear working environment on 1 m x 1.4 m
  • a strong visual result
  • you will really look into a mirror!
  • huge clarity for strategic derivations and expedient measures - efficient and informative measuring precision
  • a simple and quick comparison measurement which can be conducted any time

The Innovation performance radar “IPR” will measure the innovation ability covering 18 sub-fields, which will be split into three measuring clusters:

Measuring cluster 1 – the cultural level
Measuring cluster 2 – the operative level
Measuring cluster 3 – the strategic level

In each of the 18 sub-fields, four main measuring points as your know-how, your tools, your resources and your experience will be tested. The verrocchio institute offers the so-called "radar day" to organizations, in order to measure the innovation ability.

The general execution of an IPR measuring may be described as follows:

Step 1:
First of all, the measuring corridor and the flight altitude of the measurement will be defined. The "mandate" or the "object to be measured", the "target of the measuring" and the "strategy" will be described clearly.

Step 2:
The team will determine now, which sub-fields of the IPR will be tested and measured. The following measuring packages will be the working basis:

  1. “Complete” – Here, the entire IPR will be tested, in order to measure the innovation ability comprehensively.
  2. “Ring” – Here, only one or two rings of the IPR will be tested, e. g. the know-how ring, in order to measure specifically only the knowledge within the 18 sub-fields.
  3. “Measuring cluster” – Here, only in one or two of the measuring clusters the "cultural level", the "operative level" or the "strategic level" will be worked on.

Step 3:
Now, the measuring will be conducted by an expert who is accredited by verrocchio institute.

Step 4:
After the measuring, the result will be discussed in the team and the field will be determined in which further development should be initiated. Afterwards, respective steps for the further development of innovation ability will be derived and executed.

Step 5:
With a further identical measuring after a period of e. g. six months, the team will reflect if the executed steps have led to the planned development. The repetitive measuring may now be conducted again strategically and periodically.
